For Hating Horror Films?

Rosie thinks you're a potential murderer if you like horror films and generally avoids said genre. Jackie and guest Jared Warner are BIG fans. Listen as therapist Truman Harris gets into why people like to watch scary movies and why others avoid them. It's 'scary' how our brains work, isn't it? (<-- sorry.)
Jared's Horror Film Playlist!
Jared's disclaimer: "I want to be clear this is a list of things I think are really accessible and fun, not necessarily the GOAT horror titles. So please don't @ me for not including Suspiria or It Follows or whatever."
The Innkeepers - Ti West's ghostly follow up to House of the Devil (Also very good, but probably not great for Rosie). Annoyingly plucky millennial goobers investigate spooky stuff during the last few days of business for a big not-scary-at-first hotel.
The Descent - Badass lady spelunkers get lost in a cave and battle their fears and each other. Do NOT watch trailers or read anything about this if you don't already know the deal. The mid-movie turn is way better if you don't see it coming.
Trick R' Treat - An anthology tale set around a sleepy New England town on Halloween night. Good ole' fashioned suspense with practical effects.
Behind The Mask: The Rise Of Leslie Vernon - A mockumentary satire of slasher movies becomes one of the better entries in the genre in the last few years.
Night Of The Living Dead - Everyone should see this movie. You know how everyone who sees the Mona Lisa is like "eh, it wasn't that great?" This is the opposite of that.
Let The Right One In - Vampire coming of age story in Sweden. It's subtitled, so you know it's good.
The Mist - A movie about fog monsters that teaches you that religion sucks. Watch the Black & White version if you can. The ending will break you.
Poltergeist - Some extremely scary ghosts, and a clown that's no joke; but loaded with some iconic Spielberg-style 80s goodness to wash it down with.
